[ History of Patent attorneys ]

More than 100 years for economic success.

Innovations are the basis of technical progress, economic prosperity and political stability. Patent attorneys make a major contribution to enhancing the potential for innovation by being at the interface between technology and science on the one hand and law on the other.

This position of such importance for the economy and jurisprudence was already highlighted in the first Patent Attorneys Act in 1900. In the Imperial Law Gazette, it says: entry in the list of patent attorneys is only permissible if the applicant “furnishes evidence of his technical expertise and possession of the requisite knowledge of the law”.
