1. Visiting the web pages
When the web pages of the Patentanwaltskammer are accessed, the browser used on the terminal device automatically sends information to the website server. This information is temporarily stored in a log file. The following information is recorded and stored until it is automatically deleted:
- IP address of the requesting computer;
- Date and time of access;
- Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) or Central European Time (CET) and time zone difference relative to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT);
- Name and URL of the retrieved file (specific page);
- Access status/HTTP status code;
- Amount of data transmitted in each case;
- Website from which access originates (referrer URL);
- Browser used and, where applicable, the operating system of the computer and the name of the access provider;
- Language and version of the browser software.
The data processing takes place in order to enable a smooth set-up of the connection with the website, the use of the website, evaluation of the system security and stability as well as for administrative purposes.
For reasons of technical security, especially to prevent attempts to attack the web server, this data is stored. After 80 days at the latest, the data will be made anonymous so that it is no longer possible to establish a reference to individual users, and deleted at the latest when they have been processed for statistical purposes.
Data recorded during access to the internet offer will only be transmitted to third parties if the Patentanwaltskammer is legally or by court order obliged to do so, or if disclosure is necessary for legal or criminal prosecution in the event of attacks on the internet infrastructure. They are not passed on for other non-commercial or commercial purposes. The data are processed exclusively for this purpose and, in anonymous form, for statistical purposes.
2. Cookies
When accessing these web pages, cookies (small files) are stored on the terminal device, which are valid for the duration of the visit to the internet site. Subject to the statutory conditions, persons affected have a right of access to information about the personal data concerned and a right to their correction or deletion or to a restriction of their processing. In addition, in accordance with the statutory conditions, persons affected have a right of objection against the processing, a right of revocation where processing is based on consent, and a right of appeal to the supervisory authority.
7. Data security
During the visit to the web pages, the widespread SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology is used. Besides, suitable technical and organisational security measures are used to protect the data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, partial or total loss, destruction, or against unauthorised access by third parties. The security measures are continuously improved in accordance with technological developments.
8. Links to websites of other providers
The online offer contains links to websites of other providers. The Patentanwaltskammer has no influence on whether these providers comply with the data protection regulations.
9. Consent
By using the website or making contact, the user consents to the data processing described in this data protection statement.
Protection for minors: Persons under the age of 18 should not transmit any personal data without the consent of their parents or legal guardians.

This data protection statement is currently valid and has the status as of April 2018.
Due to the further development of our website and offers on it, or due to changes in statutory of regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this data protection statement.
