Providing impulses for innovation and the law.

Ideas are mobile, innovations know no borders. That is why patent attorneys think and act across borders. They secure the technologies of the future. Patent attorneys are organised in a German Public Law Corporation, which is self-administering and is in particular tasked with the further development of the profession: the Chamber of Patent Attorneys.

The Chamber of Patent Attorneys is the forum for an exchange of views. This is where the experience of practice comes together. It is taken into consideration in the further development of patent, utility model, design and trade mark law by the lawmakers on the national and international level. The “Chamber” maintains international relations with professional organisations in other countries across geographical and cultural boundaries. It provides impulses for innovation and the law in Europe.

The Chamber of Patent Attorneys is a German Public Law Corporation, which is self-administering and is financed solely from the dues paid by its members. It has two official bodies: the Assembly and the Board. The headquarters and office are in Munich.
